Tonight saw a dummy run for Saturday’s game which sees a visit from The Sultan of Stonehaven Peter Nicholson to the principality of Garvald and a participation in a game of Stargrave so it was just a game so that El Presidente and I could try and remember the rules.In the end it was a whitewash for the Sulako team as my Visitors were about as useless as a chocolate fireguard.Mind you a lot of the damage came from Colonial marine Vasquez who was armed with a big gun and the rapid fire power which she used to great effect as my poor Visitors found out.

The game kicked off with the usual dashing to the nearest loot counter and as usual the nearest ones were gobbled up quickly but just after my initial success things started to go pear shaped for want of a more technical term.El Presidente had set Corporal Hicks and Vasquez behind some sandbags and as usual my forces came blundering in and it was just a race to see how many lizards Vasquez could do away with.

My second in command Lydia was the first to show her reptile skin through the human one and after trading some not very effective shots took some wounds so in true reptile style disappeared behind some wandering innocent citizens of the starport in the process leaving Visitor Brian behind suffering from bullet wounds.Well at least it’s better than the red dust.This saved her squad but Steven and his troopers obviously didn’t hear the blaster shots as they appeared themselves in front of Vasquez’s deadly weapon.

Meanwhile Diana had offloaded the loot onto one of her minions and told her to leg it back to the mothership.This the underling did willingly as she didn’t want to get in front of Vasquez’s deadly weapon

Diana now had her sets on the approaching figures of Ripley who actually appeared with Newt round her neck and another marine scouring for more loot.Diana crept nearer but couldn’t roll a decent dice to use the Psionic fire for love nor money actually giving two attempts to Ripley to download the data.By the time Diana got near enough Ripley had legged it leaving the poor nameless marine to cover her ass albeit a very nice ass.

On the other side of the Starport my visitors were not having a good day with first Steven and then Brian heading for the great lizard pen in the sky.Lydia had made her way very slowly through the milling crowds and was about to head up the stairs to retrieve a loot counter when she was cut down in her prime by marine Hudson.She was last seen slumped over the bonnet of a parked car.Her assailant marine Hudson was heard to quote “They’re coming out off the goddam cars!”Using this distraction Android Bishop dashed toward an elusive crate only to be met with a hail of laser fire from a hidden Visitor.Bishop went down in a lot of gooey white liquid.This victory was short and sweet as Hudson stepped out and blasted the Visitor into wallet size.Vasquez was having a field day as one by one my Visitors were falling all around mainly to the good fortune of her big weapon as all of my visitors succumbed to her gun making her state “What a waste of good luggage!”.

Diana downloaded another data bank and passed it to her last surviving lackey who bolted straight for the mothership.Diana took this as an excuse to vacate the premises and followed hot on the tail of her minion.
